Non-contact micro-dosing valve - DELODOT

High precision dosing by non-contact jetting

The DELODOT® micro dispensing valve is a pneumatic ink jet system for high precision dispensing of adhesives, inks, oils or other liquids.

Produit
  • DELO DOT PN3

The DELODOT PN3 micro dispensing valve has the advantage of non-contact dispensing for space restricted applications and avoids collisions between the dispensing valve and the customer part. The frequency of the dosing valve can reach 330 drops of glue per second.

  • DELO DOT D4

The DELODOT D4 micro dispensing valve is a piezo jetter and has the advantage of non-contact dispensing for space restricted applications and avoids any collision between the dispensing valve and the customer part. The frequency of the dosing valve can reach 1500 drops of glue per second.

Operating principle and characteristics of the micro-dosing valve

The DELODOT® micro dispensing valve provides 2 types of dispensing:

  • Non-contact dispensing (Jet mode) of drops.
  • Non-contact dispensing of continuous beads for sealing applications.

The micro dispensing valve is operated by two parallel piezoelectric actuators driving a ceramic valve ball. The combination of these elements ensures a long service life for the micro metering valve.

The extremely fast piezoelectric drive ensures a maximum dispensing rate of up to 250 applied drops per second (900,000 drops/hour), without any contact, for volumes ranging from 0.003 mg to 4.5 mg.

The versatility and precision of the micro dispensing valve allows the application of adhesives or resins with viscosities ranging from liquid to paste, regardless of the application selected: spray, coating or continuous bead.

Advantages of the Jet Mode application of the DELODOT valve

Jet application or Jet mode offers unique advantages over standard contact dispensing systems.

  •  Saves cycle time: dispensing can be done without vertical displacement in the Z-axis, but also upside down or sideways
  • Reduced risk of component damage: 20mm distance between the valve and the component, avoiding the risk of collision
  • Greater dispensing accuracy due to the very high repeatability of the dispensing process.

The micro dispenser can be adapted to high speed lines for dispensing small volumes of product.

The choice of point-to-point or continuous dispensing mode, the selectable dispensing pressure from 0.1 to 50 bar, the adjustable dispensing time, etc., allows for customised settings according to the application and the need encountered.
