Technical data sheet

Produit
  • 1C Silicone • Adhesive industry

RTV (room temperature vulcanisation) silicone adhesives cure at room temperature to form a flexible but strong bond to most substrates including glass, plastics, metals, ceramics and wood.
Different polymerisation principles will produce by-products such as acetic acid, alcohol and acetone. These silicones are heat, moisture and chemical resistant and will bond and seal a wide range of substrates in a variety of components and applications.

  • 1C Silicone • e-vehicles Industry

Advances in the design of electric and hybrid vehicles are leading to a permanent reduction in component size while increasing power. Protection of electronic components, including optimised heat dissipation, is becoming increasingly important to ensure high performance and long life.
New filler technologies are increasing thermal conductivity through a range of silicone materials, including adhesives, gap fillers, encapsulants, greases and gels.

  • 1C Silicone • Electronic Industry

AS1740 is a high performance RTV silicone adhesive. It is a temperature resistant silicone sealant, requiring MIL-A46146B.
It has outstanding physical properties and is compatible with many sensitive substrates including copper, brass, steel, aluminium and FR4, making it an ideal option for many electronic applications where high performance is paramount. The alkoxy cure produces a silicone sealant with excellent adhesion to most common substrates.

Strong adhesive properties

his range of silicones is distinguished by their adhesive properties, which are far superior to those of silicones used in the household and sanitary sectors. Some of the silicones have a tensile strength of more than 5 MPa, which guarantees mechanical strength of the parts in addition to a seal.

Properties of the one-component silicone adhesive: high flexibility up to 700% elongation, high temperature stability (+300°C), dielectric properties, chemical, ageing and UV resistance, moisture and water resistance.
